Category 5e supports a frequency range of up to 100MHz and is designed for transmission speeds of up to 1 gigabit per second. Also featuring a tinned copper ripcord internally to make the stripping of the sheath easy, with this variant (UTP) stands for Un-Shielded. The PE Jacket is manufactured from (HDPE) Low Density Polyrthylene giving it a tough exterior and making it ideal for exterior installations that come into contact with the sun or other UV sources.
